Adams will be remembered most for his exemplary Christian values, his deep rooted devotion to his wife and family, and his many years of public service. Woods attended Benton Public Schools where he met the love of his life since 7th grade, Betty Lou Williams.She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren: Caroline, W. Army Veteran, retired from Insurance Sales, and a member of Benton & Concord Baptist Churches. He was employed as a Telephone Technician with Delta Telephone Company, a U. Army Veteran, and a member of Bethel Baptist Church Louise. He retired from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics following a lucrative career in law enforcement, which was his true passion. Adams was employed by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office, the Pascagoula Police Reserves, Bellaire Texas Police Department, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. Adams had an unwavering assurance that God was the forefront of his existence. His strong belief in Christ was evident through both his words and his actions. Adams was an extraordinary role model to younger generations and was his absolute happiest when he was surrounded by those he loved. He always planted a large garden that would produce enough vegetables to give to his family and share with his friends .

He and his sons established Woods Angus Farms and together built a national reputation for quality Angus cattle.
In 2004 they were recognized as the Mississippi Angus Association Family of the Year.
